A righteous person is protected from any curse. How do we know that with such confidence? Because the Word of God says it is so. 'No curse without cause can settle upon you." Generational curses are curses in which a parent or ancestral parent directely connected to your lineage had sinned and open a door for it to pass from one generation to the next. Usually, this transfer is detected through some display or manifestation in the natural realm by a person's behavior. This tells us what the curse is. No matter how pronounced the manifestation, it needs to be dealt with through repentance. Here's the good news, Jesus became a curse for us upon a tree. Curses spoken of by others attach themselves to us through sin and they actively affect us. They can really affect out thoughts and and our thought processes more than we tend to realize. Going to the cross however, where Jesus took all curses is the application and remedy.
