I was brought up in THE CHURCH.
In the Old Book, the Temple, the Synagogue, the Tabernacle was what we call THE CHURCH today.
A building or a place that a group of people who believe the same thing gather. Worship is acknowledging, honoring, and giving reverence to, also surrendering to God through our Lord Jesus who is the Christ.
The importance of the church is this, from obedience of the scriptures it says to gather together to encourage each other in our faith. Why? because there is strength in numbers.
I have heard from a lot of people who do not attend any church because it is organized religion. That is a big cop out. It is an excuse the Enemy has dwelled in their minds as their excuse for NOT worshipping with other believers.
I have this to say about religion. You may or may not want religion but it can seal in your heart what is true. It is the strict word that speaks high volume. And that is why the world does not want to use the word religion. It has been replaced with the word relationship.
Don't be overly dogmatic. A true believer wants the relationship and does not mind if you say they are religious. Or at least I don't shun the word at all. It seals the truth deeper inside of me.
I know there are groups that separate themselves from other groups. That is a Holy Spirit job. I do not or will not say anything against any group of people who teach the Birth, the Life, The Death and the Ressurection to Eternal Life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Holy Book teaches us that when Unity is obtain, Jesus returns. Ephesians 4:13.
I want to say much more about our uniting together, speaking from the Book of Romans chapter 8. Please read this chapter and read again. We will continue our discussion next Tuesday with the topic "Will we ever be UNITED?
