My guest on Tuesday, November 11 is author Norma Sawyers-Kurz. We'll be chatting about her books, The Grieving Parents Book of Hope, Spiritual Answers for Perilious Times, A Personal Grief & A Reasonable Faith. About the author: Norma Sawyers-Kurz was born in Southwest Missouri, grew up on a dairy farm there, and attended a one-room country school, Union Grove, her first five years in school. Norma has written books for bereaved parents from the perspective of the personal experience of the loss of her daughter Karen in a tragic motorcycle/truck accident in 1982. She brings out an interesting point in her latest book, THE GRIEVING PARENT'S BOOK OF HOPE; after living through the worst ordeal a parent can experience, there sometimes evolves a sense of empowerment. She uses a quote from Harriet Schiff's book, THE BEREAVED PARENT, which adequately expresses this idea: "The fear of the unknown is behind us, for most of us, because we have already taken a long look at hell."
