The importation of alpacas to the United States began over 30 years ago but it seems that now more than ever, consumers are realizing the true versatility of this fine fiber. With consumers having the ability to support this ever-growing industry, it gives everyone the opportunity to be involved in a truly home-grown product. From the raising of the animal to the shearing and production of the fiber, the entire process is completed on our countrys soil. Beth has had a passion for knitting for as long as she can remember. Beth combines her expertise in design and alpaca to create an apparel line of alpaca clothing, accessories and household items. She was featured in St. Louis Business Journal as a St. Louis Character in March, 2008, just about the time she was launching her alpaca apparel line.
