My name is Annegret (Anna) James Rouse, married to Yankton Sioux tribal member Desmond Rouse who has been incarcerated for 20 plus years on fabricated charges. It is through him that I learned of and became involved with the genocide in South Dakota's court rooms. Since then many more cases have come to light, many more people have contacted me for help and there is a very real demand for a Native American Innocence Project to meet on a level playing field.
