We now live in a world where there are multiple, competing realities, particularly in the erotic world. In the consensual non-monogamy world, our new or transforming non-monogamous feelings come in conflict with baggage we bring from childhood, past experiences, our former monogamous lives, and cultures.
I have meet some folk who make the transition from one non-monogamous style to another or from monogamy to consensual non-monogamy with ease, but most folk I have been blessed to know and learn from in the consensual non-monogamy community have had to deal with their worlds colliding, resulting in fear, jealousy, anger, and envy.
