I have found that life is like the clown and his hat -- he really wants to put that hat on yet every time he reaches down to get it, his freakishly large shoes kick it just beyond his reach. I find that we all often treat our lives the same way. We want happiness but every time we reach for it, we do something to kick it away. Especially when we hit mid-life, as I have. Divorce. Battles with our kids. Work (or, in my case many others, losing work). High cholesterol. The end of "Breaking Bad." So many things keep us from fining our bliss. So in this debut episode, I'll share a few storeis about my own pursuit of happiness -- whatever that actually means -- and hopefully figure out with everyone else what it is we're doing right, wrong and indifferently in order to eventually do it all better. Which, I hope, makes some degree of sense.
