Daniel's Prayer In this section, we see what kind of man it is to whom God entrusts prophetic vision. Indeed, we shall see a model of repentance as the basis for his standing in God's sight. In a way, it is a shame that those who divided the chapters and verses did not separate this prayer from the prophecy which follows; the prayer is (perhaps excepting Psalm 51) the finest model of repentance in the Old Testament. The prophetic section is the backbone of prophecy. Let us take it piece by piece.
