Do you know what living off the grid even means? Does it mean you dont answer your cell phone or that you dont own one? Our guests today are Judy and Patrick Barnes who spend their free time foraging! They started foraging last year. They took a class at a local technical college on edible gardening and foraging. They bought books and a DVD on it to really get into the idea. Theyve lived in Wisconsin for 9 years, moving up from living originally in Illinois. Patrick is a programmer, Judy is a housewife. "We are trying to live off the grid. We are working on an edible yard and we just got chickens in June. Patrick is trying to build a solar oven and an Earth oven."
