The word repentance often brings to mind scary images of people on a street corner with signs reading, "Repent, the end is near!" Actually, the possibility of repentence offers great hope for us. It means to "turn around" Regardless of how bad things have gotten or how far away you may feel from God, when you repent (turn), you instantly find God's love and mercy waiting for you.
