Matthew 24 is a hotly contested chapter because it contains many end times things which are believed to be in our future. Those who believe this often will do everything possible to either ignore or explain away the meaning of the term generation. Often passages are lifted from the context of Mathew 24 and arbitarily placed in our future. At other times the word is said to mean someting other than a group of people all living about the same time in the first century.
This is a major cause in failing to understand the the gathering of the elect which occurs "in Christ" who is our New Temple. He is also the foundation of that new temple, Isaiah 28:16, Acts 4:11-12 and therefore he is our land. So, the end times is the transition from the "land" to the Man. Everything for Israel under the Old Testament was centered "in the land". Today, everything in the New Testament is centered "in the Man". Truly Christ is our all in all.
In this broadcast we walk through the several indicators in Matthew 24 which speak of the events that would be fulfilled in the first century generation, the earthquakes, famines, abomination of desolation, the great tribulation, and the darkening of the sun, moon and stars.
