The rematch from week one when Tempe went to Tucson and had the Demons on the ropes. Had, because turnovers un-did the Predators and they fell 12-9. The Desert Demons have a reputation for a scoring defense. This year is no exception. It was Kevin Willson that beat the Predators with his TD return of a Predators fumble in the last few minutes of that game.
All season long Tucson has used it's defense to score and defeat their opponents. Their offense has scored well against several teams, but has not been as consistent as their defense. The Predators are trying to find a balance on their offense as well. Rich Diaz a former linebacker is the new QB. His struggles are more due to the right receivers being there each week.
The Predators picked up a win this past Saturday. After trailing the entire game and after two TD's were erased by penalty they came back and beat the Renegades 20-18. They did it with little time to spare and they did it with two fourth down TE pops to Jonathan McAuley to keep the drive alive. The running game was a strong mix of Patrick Cann and Josh Vasquez with Josh punching in the winning TD.
This game is huge for both the Demons and Predators. Tucson in December won their first National Championship in the All American Headquarters Invitational wiith an 18-17 last second win over the RGFL's Las Cruces Kings.
