Curtis Jamal Alston, better known by his stage name CRAZY, is the child of Clara Alston and Curtis Alston. Born and raised in the city of Norfolk, Virginia , he was raised to be a kind hearted boy from the lower class. Though he usually questioned a lot about life, he kept to himself most of the time. When Crazy was age five his parents split up for a period of time and he stayed with his mother at his grandfather’s house, in a small neighborhood called Lindenwood until they eventually reconciled and moved to College Park neighborhood of Norfolk. Like every other young teenager he liked to go out partying and hanging with a local rap group he came in contact with. He eventually became a part of their movement. A rapper from BCMG, Oz Da General, gave Curtis the name “Crazy Curt” which would become the name he would wear for years to come. He fell in love with music from the freestyle cyphers his circle would have for fun. They would meet up with everyday and slowly became like his brothers. One of his friends was Kristopher D. Lee, the son of a woman who was a very close friend of CRAZYs’ mother since they were young girls, was the person that convinced CRAZY to start rapping. During his time honing his craft as a rapper and recording artist, CRAZY got news of his Kris being killed from several gun shot wounds. This affected CRAZY and is what fueled him to become the man and artist he is today. He began taking music serious by writing more and using his life experiences as inspiration for his symphonic songs that will captivate and awaken any listener. After meeting with a buzzing underground rapper known as X-man, CRAZY was asked to join the ranks of a group called Loud Pack. Now teamed with Loud Pack, he is scheduled to drop his debut mixtape, 1994, which will introduce who CRAZY is to the world. His daily mission is to connect the community with his movement of unity, changing the world of music one song at a time. CRAZY is set to take the world by story.
