Have you ever noticed that we have a ton of cultural icons in America? From Santa Claus to Elvis Presley, we have a habit of cherishing and embracing objects, ideas, and individuals that we elevate to iconic stature.
Before we begin remember this definition of the word ICON:
A cultural icon can be a symbol, logo, picture, name, face, person, building or other image. It is easily recognized and generally represents an object or idea with great cultural significance to a wide cultural group.
