Saturdays With Singletary is very pleased to welcome to the show Financial Genius, Mr. Cornell Wesley! Cornell has 12 years of experience in business lending, credit analysis and management to his role at East Arkansas Planning & Development District. He began his career in banking as a Small Business Specialist with Bank of America in Atlanta, GA. As SBA lender with CBC National Bank, Cornell managed a 49-state lending territory generating over $20 million in submissions with loan production in excess of $10M. He has held various other roles within the banking industry including: multi-unit manager, trainer, consultant, and government liaison. Cornell is involved with the NEA United Way, serves as Board Member to KLEK-FM Radio Station Jonesboro AR, is a former Board Member to the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation of Atlanta GA, Young Professional Leaders United Way of Atlanta GA, Passion for Life, Atlanta GA, Finance Committee member for Center for Black Women’s Wellness, and is active with the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Global Ministries (Birmingham AL). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehouse College, Master of Divinity from Interdenominational Theological Center (Atlanta GA), and an MBA from Mercer University (Atlanta GA) currently in progress. In addition to being the Financial Services/Economic Development Manager at EAPDD Cornell Wesley is the former Interim Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Georgia.
