The events that have unfolded in Baltimore helps us to look at our behaviors, mentalities, levels of accountability, double standards, strengths and weaknesses as a whole society and individual race.
We'll be discussing Marilyn Mosby, her husband, Nick Mosby, professional protestors, Toya Graham, the youth presence vs the adult presence and what this possibly implies...
We question where our impact as adults have fallen onto the teenagers. Have we given them more secular hip hop culture & mentality or have we passed down wisdom for tomorrow? Have we shown them how to impact their neighborhood wisely? Or how to be the next narcissist who will step on whoever to get their point across and how to look "like a boss". How important a role has the lack of education and infrastructure played in urban areas? What are some positive events/protests that have unfolded in Baltimore and what do you believe led up to the commotion? IS Toya Graham (the mother who slapped her son), a symbol of the desperation within the black community? She has multiple children supposedly by different dads and is doing her best. But is the best from the single mother still losing?
