1 Corinthians 15 is the fact of the Resurrection In 1 Corinthians 15 - the apostle outlines the Gospel of God’s grace in verses 1-8. It concerns a person the Christ of Scriptures and History. It concerns his death for all sins according to Scriptures. It concerns his resurrection and a declaration he lives.v. 9&10: Paul’s testimony of persecuting the church was a thorn in his side. A hurt the he kept ever before him as he evangelized the gospel. He went to Nero’s chopping block, believing he was “not fit to be called an apostle’’. Paul would write in v, 10, ‘’I labored  more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the the grace of God which was within me’’. v.11, is the Holy Spirit saying to Paul, ‘’just the facts of the matter’’ and he would respond whether it was I or they so we preached and so you believed’’. There is a test that is applied our faith comes by hearing in, v. 14: ‘’...if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching is vain, and your faith is also vain’’. v. 20-22 is the order of the resurrection: v. 20; Christ is the first to rise from the dead he is the first fruit of them who slept. v.21&22 is the comparison and contrasting of the first Adam and the second Christ. I am lead to read the verses backward in v.47& 45: “The first man Adam is of the earth, earthly; the second is the Lord from heaven’’. ‘’And so it is written, the first man, Adam, was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a life-giving spirit’’. v.22: ‘’For in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive’’. v.21: “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead’’.
