Sex Part 1 - One Flesh

I was driving down to South Florida to see my mom, and as in the past, sometimes I like to make the 4 hour trip in silence…  When I do this, my mind can better focus on God’s word.  I was reflecting on the recent Marriage series, and started to think about what Paul wrote about fasting and prayer.  I thought to myself, I wonder why Paul did not mention the menstrual cycle along with fasting and prayer since I know he knows the law, keeps it, and walks orderly…  But no sooner did I ask this question, did the wisdom of God’s word start to answer it for me… So this new series was inspired by this drive.  I hope you are able to learn from God’s word and our increased knowledge (Daniel 1 & 12) so that you can apply this learning to your life. On today’s show, we are going to continue to use the show’s namesake to break down the word of God.  This week there are several verses and I will review each one and provide the basic the understandings as I go…  This is the first installment of a new series called Sex. Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Gen 2:25  And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. 1Co 7:4  The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 1Co 7:5  Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
