Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX begins speaking from 1 Peter 5, beginning in verse 5 where it says, "Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility ..." We need to be clothed with 'teachableness'. We need to be willing to be teachable and receive from different streams of God -- from both old and young, from leaders of the church and others. In our lives we need to have 3 things to be effective: people that we look up to, we need to have people pulling us to places we have not been - peers walking along side of us, and we need to have people that we are pulling to another place.
In Acts 3:19 speaks of a refreshing, "19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord ..." This year, 2015, we are going to see a refreshing. We have to receive this refreshing, this strengthening. Isaiah 41:10 provides the prophesy regarding God's intention for us: "Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
