Dr Neo Simutanyi is a political analyst and Excecutive Director at the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization dedicated to formulating and promoting alternative public policies based on principles of social justice, limited government, individual freedom and rule of law. The CPD has conducted electoral polls in previous elections including the 2011 elections which they predicted that the then opposition Patriotic Front would carry the day. Dr Simutanyi joins us to discuss his recent pronouncement about the significance and role of Lusaka & Eastern provinces determining the winner of the January 20, 2015 presidential election. He has also maintained that the race still remains between the ruling Patriotic Front and the opposition UPND.
We will also get an update from Mr Cris Akufuna, spokesperson for the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) on their preparedness to conduct this election and of any challenges being faced and the political parties adherence to the electoral code.
